Raytheon developed for the U.S. Army Air Soldier System module

[According to the Raytheon Company Web site reported on July 9, 2012] Raytheon for the U.S. Army a value of $ 4.7 million contract, is responsible for the personal computer and display system engineering and manufacturing development (EMD), to support the Air Soldier System. The Air Soldier System is the next generation of the "Air Warrior (AW)" wearable electronics system can enhance the Army aviation aircrew life support, and enhance the tactical capabilities.

Air Soldier System Personal Electronics kit contains a total of six modules. Under the contract, Raytheon will be responsible for the design, development and verify that the three modules, including soldiers computer modules, system processing and storage unit; personal display module, the system's user interface and the interface of foot action; task display module to display tasks and navigation information.

Raytheon Company has over 10 years experience in the Air Warrior system. John Harris, president of Raytheon Technical Services Company, through the development of all aspects of the Air Soldier System will be lighter, last longer and provide more control and enhanced situational awareness to better support the task.
